Dr. Rita Shah is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and Therapeutic Optometrist serving the Fort Bend Community and surrounding areas. She opened up her practice location in 2010 in the Missouri City, TX area alongside her husband after spending the previous 5 years in a group practice in the Fort Bend area. She holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Shah continued her post-graduate studies and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003 at the University of Houston. As a therapeutic optometrist, she is very experienced in diagnosing and treating various eye infections and conditions. She has a special interest in pediatric care. Throughout her professional journey, Dr. Shah has traveled to many underprivileged areas in Honduras to perform vision screenings and exams to those that could not afford it and hopes one day to travel to these and other areas once again to continue this work. Dr. Rita Shah is very proud to be residing in the community in which she practices with her amazing husband and her two beautiful children. While she is away from the office she enjoys spending quality time at home with her kids, being a soccer and dance mom, cooking, crafting, and traveling internationally.
